Designed in Italy and built in California for a Maryland owner, this beautifully handcrafted car became
an ultimate in personalized automobiles. Costing $11,700 the unique custom was built from the ground
up by Gordon Vann, operator of one of the best California custom shops in the northern part of the
state. The body was made from aluminum from an original design by the famous Ghia of Italy.

The Chrysler custom was built for Harry Dunmore of Baltimore, Maryland. Stuart Warner instruments are featured on the panel which also includes a Morepar Cool Air air-conditioning unit.

The complete dash cowl and foam rubber padded and covered with leather upholstery material which matches the bucket type seats. The center hump is utilized for ignition key and transmission push button controls.

‘With this car,” Vann continued, all we had to work from was a single side view, which proved unworkable, and a 57 Chrysler 300-C chassis. There were a few other details given us—the finished job had to be as low as it could be made; there had to be enough room in the engine compartment to accommodate a supercharge; there had to be four bucket seats.
